| 6-1 Do not overload and do not use forklift truck as apersonnel
lift. 6-2 Check the condition of the forklift truck before starting work. 6-3 Set the pallet and forks to the proper width for leeping the load stable. 6-4 Never lift or lower loads while the forklift truck is in motion. 6-5 Make sure the load is safely arranged and keep the load against the backrest with the mast tilted backward. 6-6 Keep the forks as close to the floor as possible while the truck is in motion, 100 to 105mm off the floor in most cases. 6-7 Do not elevate the load while the mast is tilted forward. 6-8 Make sure no loose articles are lying on top of the toad, use back rest and overhead guard for high stacking. 6-9 Look before moving and should be able to see the way. 6-10 Before leaving the driver Is seat. Make sure that the levers are in neutral, brake is set and engine switch is off. 6-11 Immediately inspect your truck if something wrong. 6-12 Never elevate a load while the forklift truck is on an sIope. 6-13 Do not permit anyone stand under elevated forks. 6-14 Keep head, hands and feet away from the mast assembly. 6-15 Start, stop gradually and slowly, drive carefully at corners. 6-16 Be sure to learn thoroughly the operation of your truck before starting. 6-17 Have brakes of trailer.set and have trailer wheels blocked in place while loading and unionizing in traits. 6-18 Make sure the loading limits while truck moving across dockboard or soft earth. 6-19 Observe the stability of loads while moving on slope or at curve. 6-20 Observe traffic rules. 6-21 After truck is held in position, the driver should inspect the following items before leaving the driver's seat. 6-22 a) Parking the truck on safe, Levelling position. b) Change levers in neutral. c) position. Lowing the forks to touch the ground. d) Keep the mast in vertical position. e) Parking brake is pulled. f) Turn off the engine switch to cut off the electric source. 6-23 When drive the truck on slopes, keep the front higher than the reat for balance. 6-24 Only qualified drivers may drive. 6-25 Do not turn rapidly during high speed. |
